Soybean Pulao

Soybean Pulao Ingredients:

  • Rice – 250 grams,
  • Soya chunks – 1 cup,
  • Garlic-ginger paste – 2 tablespoons,
  • Curd – half cup,
  • Tomato – 2 finely chopped,
  • Onion – 2 finely chopped,
  • big Cardamom – 1,
  • small Cardamom – 2,
  • Green chillies-2 slit from the middle,
  • Black Pepper-8-10,
  • clove-5,
  • Bay leaf-1,
  • Red Chili Powder- 1 tsp,
  • Whole Red Chilli-2,
  • Turmeric powder- half tsp,
  • Coriander powder-2 Teaspoon,
  • Garam Masala powder- half teaspoon,
  • Mustard Oil- 2 teaspoons,
  • Salt as per taste.

Soybean Pulao Method of Preparation:

First of all, soak the soya chunks in hot water for 15 minutes. Later squeeze it and keep it aside. Take soya chunks in a vessel, add curd, red chili powder, garlic-ginger paste and coriander powder, mix everything well and keep it covered for some time. Now heat the oil in a pressure cooker. Then add all the whole spices, add green chilies and fry for a few seconds. After that add chopped onion and fry it for a few seconds.

Now add magnetized soya chunks in it and fry it with onion for some time. After that add green chilies and tomatoes and cook till it becomes soft. Then add remaining coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, turmeric and salt, mix everything well and cook it well.

When the oil starts separating from the masala, add soaked rice to the masala, mix well and add water as per requirement and cover the lid of the pressure cooker. Now let it cook for two whistles on high flame. When the pressure cooker cools down, take out the pulao and serve. This pulao can be served with raita or any chutney.
