It is a saying that “necessity is the mother of all inventions and inventions drive the economy.” The need for inventions in society is that they resolve the problems and revolutionize the world, it shapes life, the standard of living and develops a culture.
The era today we live in is known as the greatest time in the world for innovation, but none of the innovations would have been taking place if we did not have the invention of electricity. Electricity is the one advancement that brought speed among the lives of rapidly changing humans, with this it can be established that inventions have influenced modern existence in every aspect.
There are a lot of times that we forget to notice small details when it comes to inventions as they have made a home in our daily lives very comfortably. We never think about how our day to day activities involve thousands of inventions no matter how small or big they are, we all have adopted them as a part of our lives.

So here are a few interesting invention stories that will surely make your day:
Remote Control

There was a small metal antenna attached to the boat which received exactly one radio frequency, Tesla sent a signal to the boat using his remote control that consisted of a lever and a telegraph key that was originally designed to send the Morse code signals. Initially, his remote-control boats were a flop, but later the technology was implied on other equipment like tricycles, submarine torpedoes, engine-power boats and especially later on for radios and televisions.
Wall Clock

Among all these people, Peter Henlein who was a locksmith from Nuremberg, Germany invented the modern-day clock and introduced the entire clock making module to the industry we have today. He invented the first clock in 1510 and later became famous for designing the most beautiful clocks for the palaces and clock towers of Europe.
Plastic

Later on, scientists like Dr Leo Bakeland, Hermann Staudinger and other factors like World War II expedited the growth of man-made plastic. In today’s world plastic is known for its long and durable life, it is also renowned for design flexibility, enormous demand in utility, sustainability and strength in almost all the technology sectors and as well in day to day chores.
Fan

Schuyler harnessed the idea of Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison to design his electric prototype fan in 1882, the initial fan design included two propellers attached to the motor without adding a protective case. Later, Curtis and Cocker company commercialized Schuyler’s invention and appointed him as the plant manager.
Electronic fans were then produced by Curtis and Cocker company and Tesla’s work on induction of motor was later used by the manufacturers. The early fans were quite expensive back then and were only found in the wealthy families’ offices and houses. The year 1890 brought a lot of changes in the design and functioning of the fans but the most noticeable was the introduction of the protective cage in front of the fan blades.
The typewriter

One of these inventions was for the typewriter as well, finally in 1867 Christopher Latham Sholes an American inventor read about the new British-invented machine and was inspired to invent the first practical typewriter.
Sholes’ second model was patented on June 23, 1868, it was initially a crude machine in which he added a lot of improvements in the next few years and then in 1873, E. Remington and Sons signed a contract with Sholes. E. Remington and Sons were the gunsmiths of Ilion, New York and agreed to manufacture the typewriter, the first machine was introduced in 1874 and it was soon renamed as Remington.
