Diverted the Direction of Death
In the month of July, the roaring water flowing from the mountains reached the plains as a disaster. While Himachal itself got hit by floods due to cloud burst and torrential rains, the states of Punjab, Haryana and Delhi suffered huge economic losses.
Many lives were lost in this havoc of flood. The maximum devastation was seen in Patiala, Sangrur, Mansa districts of Punjab and Ambala, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Fatehabad and Sirsa districts of Haryana. During this time of crisis, Dera Sacha Sauda took the initiative and started excellent efforts to help the people trapped in the floods.
Following the holy inspiration of Revered Spiritual Guide Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, when the devotee volunteers of Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Wing took charge, even the people surrounded by trouble were surcharged with courage.
Dera Volunteers Appeared as Messiah for Thousands of People Trapped in Flood
Dera Volunteers building a 70 feet long temporary dam on Rattakhera siphon in Old Chamal village. The place where the Dera Volunteers are building the dam with help of a crane, the depth of the water is more than 20 feet.
- Volunteers stood like dams in front of the water of the rising rivers.
- Saved the nearby villages from drowning by rebuilding more than half a dozen broken dams and transported household goods to a safer place.
- Made arrangements for food, drinking water and fodder for animals.
The morale of the Dera volunteers was so strong that the current of the River Ghaggar was diverted. By blocking a 20 feet deep and about 100 feet wide breach in the River Ghaggar near Chamal village (District Sirsa), these brave volunteers showed that the courage of the guardians of humanity never diminishes, no matter how dire the circumstances are.
It is worth mentioning that in the year 1993, the River Ghaggar was in such spate that Sirsa city was on the verge of drowning. Even at that time, under the sacred guidance of Revered Father Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, the volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda had repaired the deep erosion in the embankment of the River Ghaggar in a planned manner.
More or less a similar situation was visible this time in July also. Seeing the raging form of the River Ghaggar, people were running away from their homes to save their lives, the broken dams of the same river were being rebuilt by the volunteers of Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Wing. The volunteers saved nearby areas and many villages from drowning by re-building about half a dozen broken embankments of the River Ghaggar.
Along with strengthening other embankments, the volunteers were also carrying out relief work. Food was made available to the victims and those involved in the rescue operation. Not only this, these volunteers, writing a new checkerboard for humanity, also took up the responsibility of taking care of the voiceless trapped in the flood. The devotee volunteers of the blocks around the affected area saved the animals from starving by arranging green fodder and straw etc. The devotees of Dera Sacha Sauda also helped the affected people in re-sowing the crops destroyed by the flood. Paddy plants were distributed free of cost at many places.
Let us tell you that even during the floods in Sirsa during the years 1993, 1994, 1995, 2010, the volunteers of Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Wing worked shoulder to shoulder with the district administration in flood relief work and saved many villages including the city by building the broken embankments of the River Ghaggar. Apart from this, whenever there is any natural calamity in the country and the state, the volunteers of Shah Satnam Ji Green’s Welfare Force Wing help people in a big way.

The Overflowing Rivers Calmed Down by the Prayer of the Revered Guru Ji
Saints are attached to the entire creation and their disciples are always ready to help in any calamity like flood that befalls humanity. Amidst the flood situation created in many states due to overflowing rivers, Revered Present Spiritual Father Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan prayed to God to keep everyone safe.
The Revered Guru Ji gave a message to the flood victims that Dera Sacha Sauda and Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Wing are ready at all times and everywhere to provide all possible assistance in this time of disaster. Following the holy words of the Revered Guru Ji, the volunteers of Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Wing risked their lives for the flood victims. The special thing was that after the prayer of the Revered Guru Ji, the water level of Ghaggar, Beas, Sutlej, Yamuna, Tangri and Markanda rivers which were wreaking havoc in the plains, started decreasing due to which the common people heaved a sigh of relief.
The Revered Guru Ji blessed the Volunteers
Revered Father Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan blessed the volunteers and the followers of Dera Sacha Sauda for carrying the relief work in the flood affected areas. The Revered Guru Ji especially praised the courage of the volunteers who bridged the 20 feet deep breach in Chamal village and also mentioned the situation arising out of the flood in Sirsa city about 30 years ago in 1993.
The Revered Guru Ji stated that the same technique was adopted by the Dera volunteers to rebuild the broken dam at that time, this time also the volunteers adopted the same method. With the help of iron bars, long bamboo etc., a net was made and thereafter it was placed in that erosion. Then the big bags were filled with sand and after that the dam was filled with the support of these bags.
