Incomparable Service Spirit: Sundar Insan Single-handedly Rescued 90 People Trapped in the Flood

The volunteers of Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Wing risk their lives during rescue and relief work in natural disasters. A direct example of this was seen in Ambala, when during the sudden flood in the last week of July, Sunder Lal Insan, a volunteer of Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Wing, single-handedly rescued 90 people who were on the verge of drowning and transported them to safer places. Seeing the courage of the volunteer, the army personnel present there were also stunned. On the occasion of Holy MSG Bhandara, Revered Guru Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan specially mentioning this volunteer, highly praised such a spirit towards humanity and overwhelmed the volunteer with immense happiness.

In fact, due to sudden flood in the last week of July, the situation had become worse in Ambala (Haryana). Sunder Lal Insan, resident of village Chhota Khudda (Block Mitthapur) of Ambala district and member of 85 Member Committee of Himachal Pradesh, without caring for his life, carried 90 people stranded during the flood by swimming on his shoulders without a boat and took them to safer places.

The situation had become so bad due to the flood that people were climbing on the roofs of their houses to save their lives. The administration had to call the Army for rescue operations. On the other hand, Sundar Lal Insan, following the words of His Spiritual Guide Revered Saint Dr. MSG, wore the uniform of Shah Satnam Ji Ggreen S Welfare Force Wing and entered the deep water. He safely brought out the people trapped in the houses which were submerged in water for two days.

Thus he saved 90 people on his own, while along with the Army, he was continuously engaged in saving hundreds of people. Even the soldiers of the Army were surprised to see the service spirit of this Dera volunteer, whereas those soldiers were half the age of this volunteer. When they asked the 52-year-old Sunder Lal Insan about this service spirit, he told that all this has been possible only because of the blessings of Revered Guru Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan. It is only because of His holy inspiration that the humanitarian passion has arisen inside me, otherwise it was not in my power to do this. The Army Officers and Naib Tehsildar of Ambala Cantt praised Dera Sacha Sauda for this humanitarian service and heartily thanked Sundar Lal Insan.

Ambala: Dera Followers Carried out Relief Work

The Ambala district (Haryana) had to bear the maximum brunt of the flood. Actually, three rivers Ghaggar, Markanda and Tangri pass through this area, in which the water overflowed and turned towards the surrounding areas and nearby villages. Extending a helping hand to the flood-affected people, Dera Sacha Sauda’s Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Wing’s volunteers and the spiritual followers with mutual cooperation carried out large-scale relief work in different areas.

Whereas they also rescued the people trapped in the flood too. The spiritual followers from Mitthapur block distributed food packets and bottled drinking water to the people of the villages around the industry area of Ambala Cantt who were badly affected by the Markanda River. At the same time, relief work was also carried out in the villages of Harda, Hardi and Shergarh Majra etc. who were in the grip of waterlogging. On the other hand, the devotees from Sonta and Matedi Shekhan blocks carried out relief work in Baknaur and nearby villages where the scene of devastation caused by the terrible form of Ghaggar River was clearly visible. Let us tell you that this area in Ambala district has been most affected by flood, where the crops of the fields as well as the homes of the people had been submerged.

Apart from this, the spiritual followers from Ambala City block carried out relief work in the area adjacent to the Punjab border. Apart from distributing food items to the people of the affected villages, they also helped people by going door-to-door and giving them food packets in the low-lying areas of the city where there was excessive water logging. The spiritual followers from Ambala Cantt extended a helping hand by providing relief material to the people affected by the overflowing of Tangri River.
