Soya Cutlets

Ingredients for Making Soya Cutlets:
- 1 cup soya chunks or nuggets,
- 3 boiled potatoes grated or mashed,
- 2 green chillies chopped,
- 1 inch ginger piece,
- 1/2 carrot grated,
- 2 finely chopped onions,
- salt according to taste,
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder,
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala,
- one and a half teaspoon dry mango powder,
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala,
- juice of 1-2 lemons,
- 1/2 bowl finely chopped coriander leaves,
- 8-10 mint leaves and 3-4 teaspoons gram flour.
Method of Preparation:Â
First of all, wash the soya chunks thoroughly and boil them in water for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Now squeeze these soya chunks well and put them in the mixer jar and add 2 green chillies and ginger and grind them.
- Take out this mixture in a bowl and add chopped onion, carrot, mashed/grated potato and all the dry spices and mix everything well.
- Add gram flour to this mixture and mix lemon juice and also chop the green coriander and mint leaves and mix everything well.
- Now apply oil on your hands and make cutlets. You can make them in any shape you want, round, square or cylinder shape.
- Now add oil in the frying pan and shallow fry these cutlets.
Similarly fry all the cutlets till they become crispy on both sides. When they cool down a bit, serve them with tomato and green coriander chutney.
