Green Vegetables are Beneficial for Health
Introduction: Just as a human being needs both air and water to survive, similarly to keep the body healthy we need vitamins, proteins, mineral salts, carbohydrates, which we can get from dry fruits, fruits and green leafy vegetables. While the use of green vegetables keeps the body healthy, eating green vegetables in raw form strengthens the teeth. Green vegetables can be used as medicine.

Spinach:
Vitamin A is found in sufficient quantity in spinach. Iron is also found in it. Consumption of spinach is beneficial in diseases like eye weakness and hair fall. Washing hair with spinach water reduces hair fall. Washing and cleaning raw spinach leaves and chewing them with cumin seeds helps in growing longer hair.
Fenugreek:
Consumption of fenugreek is very beneficial for arthritis patients. It improves eyesight because it contains high amount of vitamin A. Consumption of fenugreek is also beneficial in body pain. Regular use of bottle gourd (ridge gourd) in food helps in digestion of food quickly, stomach remains clean and all vitamins are obtained.
Ridge Gourd:
Patient is also given ridge gourd to eat. Cleaning the face with gourd peel removes dirt from the face. The pores of the skin open up. Grinding gourd peel and mixing it with water and drinking it provides relief from diarrhea.
Mint & Green Coriander:
Mint and green coriander have high amount of vitamin A. Consuming mint extract is beneficial in case of vomiting and diarrhea. Inhaling mint steam is beneficial in cold. If the cold has become chronic, then boil mint and lemon juice together and inhale the steam of that water. Using it for a few days will provide relief from cold. Bathing with mint water will cure skin diseases. Grind mint and basil and make a paste. Apply it on the face. Pimples will go away. Applying green coriander paste removes dark spots from the face.
Radish:
Teeth become strong by eating radish as salad. Radish leaves contain sufficient amount of vitamin A. Radish juice is beneficial for jaundice patients. Taking radish mixed with lemon juice clears the stomach and removes laziness. It provides strength to the body.
Carrot:
Carrots are rich in all vitamins and beta carotene. Carrots increase brain power. It cures eye weakness. Eating carrots is also beneficial in diarrhoea, dysentery and ulcers. Extract carrot juice and give it to weak children. It cures bleeding of gums and removes stomach worms. It is beneficial in tonsils. It increases mental power.
Soup and Chutney:
Adults eat green vegetables but children are not interested in eating green vegetables. Make potato parathas for children. If children eat more soup or chutney then you can boil green vegetables and add tomatoes to it and give it to children as chutney. It is your duty to feed green vegetables to children. Prepare them in the form they like so that your children can stay healthy and fit.
