Lala Lajpatrai College Hosts Grand Celebration of ‘Hunar 2024
Lala Lajpatrai College of Commerce and Economics successfully hosted its much-awaited annual festival, Hunar, on the 29th and 30th of January at the college campus. This year’s theme, “CivicCanvas: Painting the Portrait of Social Change,” struck a chord with participants, emphasizing the impact of collective efforts in tackling societal challenges.
Since its inception in 2012, Hunar has served as a platform for students to exhibit their talents, fostering an environment where creativity knows no bounds. The festival featured a dynamic range of competitions, including Debate, Elocution, Mehendi, Poster and Slogan Making, Tug of War, BGMI, Escape the Eyes, Solo and Group Dance, Reel Making, and Singing, engaging students in a vibrant and competitive spirit.
A standout moment of the festival was the participation of children from the Each One Teach One Foundation, who competed with enthusiasm and passion, embodying the essence of inclusivity and empowerment. Their presence added a profound dimension to the event, reinforcing its mission of bridging social divides through artistic expression.
The festival was honored by the presence of Chief Guest Freyaz Shroff, Founder of Kurniv Foundation, who inspired attendees with her thought-provoking insights on community-driven change. The seamless execution of the festival was led by Dr. Minum Saksena and Prof. Vishakha Walia, under the esteemed guidance of Principal Dr. Harmeet Kaur Bhasin, Dean Dr. Neelam Arora, and Assistant Dean Dr. Arun Poojari.
