The Onlookers were Astonished When the Volunteers Plugged the 20 Feet Deep Erosion in the Ghaggar
Those who want to reach their destination, they have courage like a lion, they not only swim in the sea but also build bridges of stone. Yes, the brave hearts of Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Wing, formed for the purpose of serving humanity, have the same spirit to do something similar. Due to heavy rains in the mountains that day, the River Ghaggar was overflowing and breaking the embankments near village Chamal in district Sirsa. Dozens of villages were on the verge of drowning.
Suddenly the embankment cracked near village Chamal and in no time there was a 70 feet long erosion. On the request of the Gram Panchayats, the volunteers of Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Wing took the charge, following the pious inspiration of their Perfect Spiritual Guide Revered Saint Dr. MSG. Hundreds of volunteers reached Ratakheda siphon near the old Chamal village and here the volunteers risked their life in the service work of building a 70 feet long temporary dam in front of the siphon. However, the task was not so easy due to the high depth and continuous rain fall.

Officers, villagers and State Electricity and Jail Minister Chowdhary Ranjit Singh as well as NDRF personnel present there were taken aback by the extra ordinary courage of the volunteers. Next morning, first of all, the volunteers of Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Wing along with the NDRF soldiers made a strategy to build the dam. After this, a thick rope was put in the middle of the entire dam. With the help of the rope the volunteers landed at the place where the dam was being built. On the other hand, the volunteers along with the villagers filled thousands of earthen bags and later, together, the volunteers formed a human chain and started building a dam with the filled bags and finally bridged the dam again. The villagers said that if the temporary dam of the Rattakheda Kharif Channel had not been built, it could have brought havoc in many villages.
The volunteers of Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Wing carried out service work by forming different teams in villages such as Musahib Wala, Burjakarmgarh, Panihari, Saharni and Farwai Kala in Sirsa district. The volunteers strengthened the dams around Panihari, Burjakarmgarh and other villages by placing bags filled with sand on the dams. Whereas in Musahib Wala, where the farm houses were surrounded by water the volunteers transported the belongings of the people to a safer place while risking their own life.
