Revered Shah Mastana Ji played a wonderful game on 28 February, 1960. His Divine Grace Himself set this appropriate time to disclose His Spiritual Personality. His Holiness Revered Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj was profusely decorated from top to toe with garlands of currency notes & led a royal procession throughout the city of Sirsa so that people could know that the Revered Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj has declared Zaildar Sardar Harbans Singh Ji of Shri Jalalaana Sahib as the Spiritual Successor to Dera Sacha Sauda. It was necessary to tell the people of the world.
Revered Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj fixed the day of 28 February 1960 to enthrone Revered Param Pita Ji on the Royal Seat of Dera Sacha Sauda. As per holy orders of the Revered Sai Ji, His Holiness was profusely decorated from top to toe with garlands of currency notes. A jeep was specially decorated for this purpose & His Holiness was enthroned on that jeep.
It was ordered by the Revered Sai Ji that the royal procession should go throughout the city of Sirsa. Thousands of the devotees of Dera Sacha Sauda participated in this procession. Every body was astonished to witness the splendid occasion & came to know that Sardar Harbans Singh Ji of Shri Jalalaana Sahib has been declared as the Spiritual Successor to the Revered Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj. The Revered Sai Ji stated, “ Sardar Satnam Singh Ji is very brave.
His Holiness has carried out each & every command of the Humble Mastana. His Holiness has made a great sacrifice for Our sake. The more We appreciate His Holiness, the less it is. The Revered Sai Ji stated publicly, “ From today itself, We do declare His Holiness Shah Satnam Singh Ji Our Spiritual Successor, the Spiritual Successor to the Royal Seat of Dera Sacha Sauda & above all God-Himself. Every body present at Dera Sacha Sauda was ordered to join the royal procession thus: “ If you want to have vision of the Spiritual Master, join the royal procession & envision His Holiness Sardar Satnam Singh Ji.
We have granted His Holiness Sardar Satnam Singh Ji Our Divine Form. On its return to Dera Sacha Sauda, the royal procession was welcomed on the road by the Revered Sai Ji Himself. The Revered Sai Ji proclaimed: “Dear Devotees! Today We have transformed His Holiness Sardar Harbans Singh Ji from an individual self to Satnam-the Supreme Power, from an individual soul to God-Himself.” Every participant of the the royal procession was given blessed eatable by the Revered Sai Ji Himself.
Revered Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj, the first Spiritual Master of Dera Sacha Sauda, proclaimed His Holiness Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Mahaeaj as the second Spiritual Master of Dera Sacha Sauda thereby making us face to face with the Spiritual Personality on whose support the whole universe is standing.
All the scriptures & saints glorify this same Spiritual Personality. Most Revered Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj conducted a spiritual congregation on March 14, 1954 at ‘Dera Sacha Sauda Anami Dham’ of village Ghunkawali. After the spiritual congregation, His Holiness was personally called by the Revered Sai Ji & asked to sit near His royal seat. The Revered Sai Ji openly declared, “ His Holiness is being blessed with the God`s Words while making His Holiness sit near the royal seat since a very special & specific task is to be entrusted to His Holiness.
His Holiness will be designated as the Leader of the Living Spiritual Master & the duty of bestowing the God`s Words to the masses will also be entrusted to His Holiness.” Nobody could understand the meaning of these pious words of the Revered Sai Ji. The truth of these holy words was manifested when the Revered Sai Ji declared His Holiness Param Pita Ji as His Spiritual Successor.
The Revered Sai Ji had earlier made several gestures regarding the Spiritual Personality of His Holiness Param Pita Ji. The Revered Sai ji made a round circle from His holy stick addressing the accompanying volunteers, “ Come here, We will show you the foot-print of God-Himself.” One of the volunteers ( who knew that this is the foot-print of the Revered Param Pita Ji) said, ‘ This is the footprint of Zaildar Harbans Singh Ji of Shri Jalalaana Sahib.’ At this the Revered Sai Ji, while striking the holy stick forcefully on the ground, replied, “ We don`t know any Zaildar. We only know that this is the footprint of God-Himself.” And with passage of time the Revered Sai Ji made God-Himself evident.

Sacred Life-Sketch:
Most Revered Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj hailed from the holy village of Shri Jalalaana Sahib, district Sirsa, Haryana. The name of His most Adorable Father was Sh. Waryam Singh Ji. The name of His Adorable Mother was Smt. Aas Kour Ji. His Adorable Grandfather Sardar Heera Singh Ji Sidhu was the Zaildar of the village.
His Adorable Father was a big landlord ( owner of immense land & property). His Adorable Parents were very pious & religious minded. They used to serve the saints & the sages very sincerely. They used to keep engrossed in the worship of God. There was no shortage of any worldly things but the desire to have a child would torment the Adorable Parents all the time.
In those days, a carefree & learned monk happened to visit the village Shri Jalalaana Sahib. He was a true saint who used to motivate people to worship God. The Adorable Parents invited him to their home & welcomed him from the core of their heart. He stayed in the village for a couple of days & during this period, he took the meals at the house of the Adorable Parents. The Adorable Mother Herself used to serve him the food.
One day on having pleased with the true passion of the Adorable Parents, he proclaimed, “ Dear Devotees! Your devotion to worship God & sense of hospitality are supreme. Your desire of having a successor will be fulfilled definitely by God Almighty. He will be called the successor not only of Your family but also of the whole world. By the extreme blessings of God & the best wishes of the monk, after a long gap of 18 years the much awaited wish of the Adorable Parents to have a child was finally fulfilled.
Most Revered Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj incarnated on 25 January 1919. On hearing the holy news of the holy incarnation of the Revered Param Pita Ji, the monk also reached in the village & extended his best wishes to the Adorable Parents. While congratulating the Adorable Parents, the monk said, “ Dear Devotees! Your family has been blessed with a son having supernatural qualities. He is the true incarnation of the Almighty. Don`t consider Him an ordinary child. His Holiness ( the Revered Spiritual Master) will stay with You for forty years only and after that the task entrusted by God, the work of serving humanity & granting salvation to the souls for which His Holiness has incarnated, will go to the Perfect Spiritual Master who has sent His holiness as Your Child.
His Holiness was the only Child of the Adorable Parents. His Holiness belonged to Sidhu dynasty. The Adorable Parents named His Holiness as Sardar Harbans Singh Ji. Later, Most Revered Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj christened Sardar Harbans Singh Ji as Sardar Satnam Singh Ji. Varied sacred doings, workings & activities of the Revered Param Pita Ji made everyone astonish that the Son of the Zaildar is not like an ordinary child. His Holiness is a great Spiritual Personality.
Meeting with the Benevolent Spiritual Guide:
When His Holiness grew up, the scope of welfare & spiritual activities was extended. His Holiness approached many sages & spiritual leaders, heard their sermons in order to recognize a Perfect Spiritual Guide. Whenever His Holiness met the sages and spiritual leaders, verified & tested them but the desired purpose of finding the way to Ultimate Truth was not fulfilled. His Holiness was constantly searching for the Ultimate Truth.
At the same time, His Holiness met Most Revered Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj. From what His Holiness has heard about the Revered Sai Ji & Dera Sacha Sauda, after attending the spiritual congregation conducted by the Revered Sai ji & examining every truth, His Holiness devoted Himself solely to the Revered Sai Ji there & then. The Ultimate Truth, His Holiness was looking for, was in the divine presence of the Revered Sai Ji. His Holiness was fully satisfied.
In the same way, the Revered Sai Ji too got His would be Spiritual Successor in the form of His Holiness. Through godly titles like ‘ the foot-prints of God’, ‘the Leader of the Living Spiritual Leader’ the Revered Sai Ji disclosed a number of times the Spiritual Status of His Holiness. And after initiating His Holiness into God`s Words, the Revered Sai Ji started looking at His Holiness as His would be Spiritual Successor.
Strenuous Test:
The Revered Sai Ji started conducting test after test of His Holiness since the very first meeting. Following these spiritual tests, the Revered Sai Ji stayed at the Dera of Shri Jalalaana Sahib for eighteen days. At the same time the Revered Sai Ji got the building of Gadrana Dera demolished & sometime in the night the building of Chormar Dera was also demolished. On one hand different buildings of different deras were being demolished, on the other hand it was ordered by the Revered Sai Ji that the building materials like wood, iron, doors, windows etc be collected at Shri Jalalaana Sahib.
The Revered Sai Ji put the duty of His Holiness to carry the debris of the building of Gadrana Dera. While the debris of the demolished buildings of different deras was being carried, the Ghunkawali volunteers were asked to take away the already collected debris. His Holiness was still busy in transporting the debris of the demolished building of Gadrana Dera, the Revered Sai ji started the reconstruction work of the Gadrana Dera. An ordinary human being can`t understand this strange working of the Revered Spiritual Master.
In fact, this divine working was a part of the strenuous test being conducted by the Revered Sai Ji. His Holiness has already devoted & dedicated Himself to the holy service of the Revered Sai Ji. Therefore, His Holiness sincerely obeyed the holy words of the Revered Sai Ji. In this way, after conducting different arduous exercises & tests and finding His Holiness fully eligible, the Revered Sai Ji declared, “ We conducted tests of Sardar Satnam Singh Ji & didn`t let His Holiness( Sardar Satnam Singh Ji) know.”
Yet Another Arduous Test:
One day the Revered Sai ji ordered to demolish the mansion-like personal house of His holiness & bring the demolished & other related items of the mansion to Dera Sacha Sauda Sirsa. Outwardly speaking, in worldly terms, it was a strenuous test but His Holiness didn`t care for the public prestige & obeyed every word of the Revered Sai Ji. Acting upon the holy order of the Revered Sai Ji, His Holiness broke His mansion with His own hands, carried many truck loads of the building material & household items to Dera Sacha Sauda Sirsa & placed in the presence of the Revered Sai Ji.
It was the day of the monthly spiritual congregation. At Saturday midnight, the Revered Sai Ji came out. Looking at the huge pile of the goods, the Revered Sai Ji said, “Whose goods is this? Take it out right now. If someone comes and asks, what will be the answer? Whosoever has the goods, take care of your belongings yourself.” It was cold winter & drizzle and cold waves were flowing from the above making the atmosphere extremely cold. His Holiness followed the holy orders of the Revered Sai Ji & spent the whole night in open guarding His luggage & enjoying the divine ecstasy. In the morning, His Holiness gave away all His belongings to the devotees & sat in the divine presence of the Revered Sai Ji.
Satnam-the Sole Support of the Universe:
While referring to the great sacrifice of the Revered Param Pita, the Revered Sai Ji stated: Harbans Singh Ji!! ( His Holiness Param Pita Ji) We bless Thee with the Ultimate Truth in return of Thy sacrifice; We transform Thee from an individual self to Satnam-God-Himself. The Revered Sai Ji stated in the spiritual congregation: “We have transformed His Holiness Sardar Satnam Singh Ji into a Perfect Spiritual Master, the Supreme Power. Multiple tasks are to be entrusted to His Holiness by God.
At Dera Sacha Sauda, a three storey sacred house ( Anami Gufa) was got constructed specially for the Revered Param Pita Ji & the Revered Sai Ji Himself enthroned the Revered Param Pita Ji in that sacred house. The Revered Sai ji stated. “ This sacred house is gifted to His Holiness Sardar Satnam Singh Ji for His sacrifice.” This three storey sacred house has been got constructed under the holy direction of the Revered Sai Ji.
The building materials like bricks, iron, wood, etc of the royal mansion of the Revered Param Pita Ji were used in the the construction of this sacred house. This round sacred house has been constructed by the holy order of the Revered Sai Ji. Everyone is not entitled to reside here. Thereafter a dialogue between Shri Krishan Ji and Gopis was read out thus: While addressing the Gopis Shri Krishan Ji said that you have loved Me to the highest degree by breaking the unbreakable iron like bonds but the nectar of the love of God I have given you in return is very insignificant, so I seek forgiveness( Forgive Me).
At this the Revered Sai Ji stated, “ Like those Gopis the Revered Sardar Satnam Singh Ji has made a great sacrifice in the name of His Spiritual Guide but the nectar of God`s Words We have given Him is very less. Therefore, We too seek forgiveness.”
Abiding and Steadfast:
By enthroning the Revered Param Pita Ji in Tera Vas ( Sacred House), the Revered Sai Ji once again stated, “ The earlier name of Sardar Satnam Singh Ji was Sardar Harbans Singh Ji. This Spiritual Personality hails from the holy village Shri Jalalaana Sahib district Sirsa, Haryana. For the sake of God`s Words and His Spiritual Guide, His Holiness demolished His own mansion like house, faced the curses & taunts of the people.
Therefore, this Anami Gufa ( Sacred House) has been gifted to His Holiness. Everyone is not entitled to reside here. The one who is commanded by the Spiritual Guide from the Eternal Abode gets the place to live here. Just as the masons have put three lintels to strengthen this building, We have put ( pointing by His Holy Hands) 1-2-3- lintels to His Holiness Sardar Satnam Singh Ji. Rains, squalls or thunderstorms may come, neither will His Holiness move nor will anyone be able to shake His Holiness.
The Ceremony of Spiritual Coronation:
On 28 February, 1960 the royal stage was specially decorated as commanded by the Revered Sai Ji. Thereafter the Revered Sai Ji addressed the volunteers, “ Dear Volunteers! Bring Sadar Satnam Singh Ji from the Anami Gufa (Sacred House).
On receiving this holy order, two volunteers ran towards the Anami Gufa ( Sacred House) but the Revered Sai Ji stopped them while directing, “ Dear Volunteers, not like this! Go together at least ten volunteers in Panchayat form & escort His Holiness Sardar Satnam Singh Ji to the royal stage with due respect.” The Revered Sai Ji granted His full affection & enthroned His Holiness on the royal stage along with Himself. After that the Revered Sai Ji garlanded His Holiness with currency notes & stated thus:
“People kept reciting the holy name of Satnam throughout their lives. Has any one seen Satnam? There was pin drop silence in the congregation hall. Nobody could say anything. The Revered Sai Ji stated forcefully, “Dear Devotees! The Satnam whose holy name people kept reciting throughout their lives but no one could envision Satnam. This is the same Satnam, pointing towards His Holiness Param Pita Ji, on whose sole support this universe stands.
By holy orders of the Revered Sawan Shah Sai Ji, We have brought Shah Satnam Ji from the abodes above & placed His Holiness before all of you.” If any relatives of His Holiness comes & asks, The Humble Mastana got Thy mansion like house broken, what has Thou got in return? So brother, His Holiness can show them this round Gufa (Sacred House). This round Gufa (Sacred House) is made of walls (concrete bricks) but the real round Gufa (pointing between the eyes of His Holiness) blessed to His Holiness, all the three worlds are not even equal to Its one hair.
Thus, the Revered Sai Ji Himself got completed the ceremony of Spiritual Coronation. The Revered Sai Ji handed over all the rights & responsibilities of the spiritual followers to His Holiness Param Pita Ji the same day itself & imparted His Own Divine Form to His Holiness Param Pita Ji thereby granting the status of God-Himself.
The holy process of the ceremony of the Spiritual Coronation is a unique example before the world. It is worth mentioning that after gifting the Anami Gufa (Sacred House) to His Holiness, the Revered Sai Ji never visited the Anami Gufa ( Sacred House) & stated living in a separate room in the Dera.
Glorifying the Name of God in the World:
The Revered Param Pita Ji enthroned on the royal seat as the second Spiritual Master of Dera Sacha Sauda on February 28,1960.
His Holiness bestowed immense love to the lacs of the devotees of Dera Sacha Sauda for 30-31 years. His Holiness initiated more than11 lac seekers into the God`s Words & showed the path to shun evil habits & attain salvation. Today millions of people are living a carefree & prosperous life acting upon the holy teachings of the Spiritual Master.
The Benevolence – Beyond Description:
His Holiness has innumerable benevolences towards the spiritual followers. Thy benevolences cannot be described in words. His Holiness used to state that We love Our devotees more than Ourselves & more than Our own Children. We pray to God-Almighty day & night for the goodness & prosperity of the spiritual followers.
Another Ineffable Benevolence:
His Holiness Param Pita Ji enthroned the Present Spiritual Master Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan as the third Spiritual Master of Dera Sacha Sauda on 23 September 1990. This is a great benevolence in itself. More so, the Revered Param Pita Ji stayed for 15 months along with the Revered Present Spiritual Master.
His Holiness Revered Param Pita Ji stated, “His Divine Majesty (The Revered Present Spiritual Master) is Our own form. We Ourselves will work while locating Our Saint Body in this Young Body (The Revered Present Spiritual Master).”
Following the holy inspiration of the Revered Present Spiritual Master, Dera Sacha Sauda is well known across the globe by virtue of the spiritual & human welfare activities. Marching on the path of truth shown by the His Holiness, today millions of people have renounced evils like drug, corruption, prostitution, etc. and are associated with the worship of God. The Ganges of self-less love is flowing in each and every house. Today, the benevolence & the holy teachings of His Holiness is the topic of discussion in every house.
At the same time the afflicted people are also getting every possible support from the devotees of Dera Sacha Sauda. The followers of Dera Sacha Sauda have become a ray of hope for the afflicted people in particular & mankind in general. As per holy inspiration of the Revered Present Spiritual Master, the Blood-Pump ( the volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda are generally referred to as True Blood-Pump) have been donating blood to the needy sick people & the patients of Thalisimia even during the COVID-19 Lock-down; the facility of free medical treatment is being provided to the needy; the cemented houses are being got prepared for the needy and the maximum possible help is being extended to the poor in the marriages of their daughters. Thus, under the holy guidance of the Revered Present Spiritual Master the followers of Dera Sacha Sauda are engaged in human welfare works.
This 28th February is the holy Spiritual Coronation Day of Revered Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj. By being enthroned Himself on the royal seat of Dera Sacha Sauda, the Revered Param Pita Ji has bestowed a great benevolence on His followers. The benevolences of the Revered Param Pita Ji can`t be enumerated. As per holy guidance of Revered Present Spiritual Master Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, every year the followers of Dera Sacha Sauda celebrate this day as Great Benevolence Day by rendering maximum humanitarian works across the globe.
