Devotee Darbara Singh Ji writes that my fathername is Sardar Hardam Singh, but here he will be called as Hathi Ram, because the Revered Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj used to call him by the name of ‘Jand Ka Hathi’ and theRevered Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj used to address my father as Hathi Ram. He was religious in nature from the very beginning. But earlier he used to believe heavily in all sorts of superstitions.
Once in the year 1955, the Most Revered Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj had a spiritual congregation in our nearest village Chormar. My father also went to listen to the spiritual congregation. Because whenever any spiritual person used to come to our village to do a religious talk, he would definitely reach there to listen. My father had a very close vision of the Revered Beparwah Ji and heard the concrete, truthful words in simple Sindhi language. My fatherfrom the core of his heart, accepted the Revered Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj as his Spiritual Guide & was thus initiated into the God`s Words by the Revered Shah Mastana Ji. And from that day onwards, my father got associated with the Revered Shah Mastana Ji, that is, wherever there the Revered Shah Mastana Ji conducted a spiritual congregation, he would reach there.
He further writes that in those days there was a lot of poverty in our house. We had enough land, but almost all the land was dry land. That is, if the rains were good, there would have been some crop, although generally the drought was more in those days. Due to this, the crop was negligible and moreover, there was no business. We were children at that time.
There were two animals in the house and they both had their own identity. One was a camel which was lame in one leg and one was a goat which had only one udder. One day, being forced by the condition of poverty, my fatherrequested to the Revered Spiritual Guide, ‘Sai Ji. There is a lot of poverty on our family, have mercy upon us.’ On this the Revered Sai Ji said, ‘Brother! We promote the holy name of Ram or the Supreme Master and take the souls out of the jail of the cycle of birth and death by initiating them into the God`s Words. My father requested again and, Sai Ji! If We don’t ask You, then from whom should we ask? At this, the Ocean of Mercy, the Omnipotent, the Revered Beparwah Jistated, ‘Son!Will get your application written.
‘My father was a very simple hearted person. He understood that I will have to register this application with an in-charge volunteer of the spiritual abode ( Dera), so why should I not get my name, address etc. written with him myself. Thinking this, my father went to the in-charge volunteer of that time to get his name written and requested to him that I have talked so and so tothe Revered Sai Ji and His Holiness has stated to get my my application written. I myself have come to write. But that in-charge volunteer refused to write the application and said that there is no need to write the application. My father said about that in-charge volunteer as a complaint to the Revered Sai Ji that such an in-charge volunteer does not write my application. All Powerful Revered Beparwah Ji said, ‘Brother! The word that came out, that is, your application was written.’
Wherever the Revered Beparwah Ji conducted a spiritual congregation, my father would definitely reach there. The Revered Beparwah Ji granted immense love to my father. He danced a lot with enthusiasm in the royal presence. Not only this, while dancing, he used to jump high on one leg. One day, the Revered Bewarwah Ji, in His divine stated, said, ‘Brother! This is the elephant of the village Jand.’ The Revered Beparwah Ji started calling him ‘Elephant’ from that day. And from here he was started to be addressed as’Hathi Ram’.
One day the Revered Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj came to Dera Sacha Sauda Nirbhaypur Dham, Chormar. There, the Revered Beparwah Ji offered to my father a very luxurious pant till the knees, a jacket and a very beautiful cap with golden stars on it, and ordered’Take a Sadhu ( A devotee who, for the sake of the Spiritual Master, has renounced the world and devoted himself to the worship of God and service to humanity) with you and go to the spiritual abode in your village&sell the onions of the spiritual abode.” As per the orders of his Spiritual Guide, my father, keeping a crate of onions on his head, went from house to house in the village, hawking in a loud voice ‘take onions of the spiritual abode’ and in this way sold the onions. Seeing this our relatives, family members, brothers passed discouraging comments and did not even hesitate to say that ‘Now he will die of hunger’.
Our entire family used to indulge in all sorts of superstitions related to worship earlier. My father, after being initiated into the God`s Words, would also tell the rest of the family members to get themselves initiated into the God`s Words from the Revered Beparwah Ji and now stop worshiping these idols. All our family members were against my father on this matter and my father had to face a lot of opposition and anger.
Time passed and with the blessings of the Revered Spiritual Master, prosperity started flourishing in our family. That is, the Revered Beparwah Ji accepted my father`s request, that demand. Day by day our business (agriculture work) started running well. The respect and regard of our family started enhancing in our village and society. Earlier, no one used to extend regard to our family. But after being associated with the God`s Words and Dera Sacha Sauda, our prestige among the people increased and noticing this, our relatives also took the God`s Words from the Revered Beparwah Ji and other people of the village also learned the Method of Meditation ( the God`s Words) from the Revered Beparwah Ji.
Our business also increased day by day and we started making progress. Whatever our father would take in his hands, the same thing started proving to be gold for us. During this time we also bought a new Hindustan Tractor. At that time, the Most Revered Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj had been installed as the Second Spiritual Master of Dera Sacha Sauda. My father took the tractor to the Dera Sacha Sauda campus to get the holy sight of the Revered Supreme Father.
On repeated requests, the Revered Supreme Father enthroned on the tractor and checked it by driving. After that, it was as if the rain of money started showering on the family. We ourselves did not know from where so much money was coming. By the grace of the Revered Beparwah Ji, we became rich within a few days. In the meantime, we (me and my brother) also became young. We learned to work in the workshop. Whenever we got a chance, we never shied away from rendering humanitarian service even in the campus of Dera Sacha Sauda. Gradually we took some place in Delhi and established our workshop there. Workshop work also went on very vigorously.
There was a time when we did not have a penny, the yield of the land depended on rain. But at this time, with the blessings of Revered Guru Ji, according to the words of Revered Beparwah Ji, ‘The application has been approved in the court of the Spiritual Master’, there is no shortage of land and property. All the brothers have separate bungalow in Delhi and there is no dearth of anything like wealth etc.
While our elders were initiated into the God`s Words by Revered Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj, we have initiated into the God`s Words by most Revered Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj and our children have been initiated into the God`s Words by Revered Present Spiritual Father Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan. In this way, by the grace of the Supreme Master, our entire family is associated with Dera Sacha Sauda. We will never be able to repay the gratitude of the Revered Spiritual Master who has bestowed His blessings on the family,
