Spinach Soup


  • Spinach – 250 grams (one small bunch),
  • Tomato – 2 (medium size),
  • Ginger – 1/2 inch long piece,
  • Common salt – 1/2 tsp,
  • Black salt – 1/4 tsp,
  • Black Chilli 1/4 tsp,
  • Lemon -1/2, –
  • Butter-1/2 table spoon,
  • Cream – 2 table spoon,
  • Green coriander – 1 table spoon finely chopped.

Spinach Soup Method:

Clean the spinach, wash the spinach leaves by immersing them in water 2 times. Wash tomatoes too, peel and wash ginger.

Cut tomatoes and ginger into 4 to 5 pieces. Put them in the same vessel with spinach. Also add 1 cup of water and after it starts boiling, boil it for 2 to 3 more minutes. After this, turn off the gas and let the spinach cool down.

 After the spinach & tomatoes cool down, grind them finely with a mixer. Add 3 cups of water to the ground mixture and filter it. Put the strained soup on the fire again. Add plain salt, black salt and black pepper to it, after the soup starts boiling again, cook for 2-3 more minutes.

Spinach soup is ready, turn off the fire. Add butter to the soup and mix, add lemon juice and mix. Take out the hot spinach soup in a bowl and garnish it with cream and green coriander over the soup. After this, serve the soup with soup stick or crispy bread.
