Jakhal: Relief Material Transported Several Kilometers along Railway Tracks

Jakhal area of Fatehabad district, situated on the Punjab border, was also engulfed by the flood. Dozens of villages in Haryana and hundreds of villages bordering Punjab were submerged due to the breach of Chandpura dam. On the other hand, water entered the godowns of Hafed in Jakhal Mandi due to breach of Balran dam. Things were starting to get dire. Water was also filled on the 40 Feet Road of the town.

Due to the cracks in the Rangoi drain towards the east, villages like Lakhuwali Dhani, Telanwali Dhani, village Dher, Deewana, Gularwala, Rupawali, Dharsul etc. came under the grip of flood. In Dhanis (farm houses), people got trapped in very deep water. All the roads were blocked, so the warriors of Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Wing of Dera Sacha Sauda took command and formed small groups and descended into the flood affected area. These warriors rescued the people trapped in many dhanis of village Purna Majra Himmatpura with the help of boats and took them to safer places.

On the other hand, the volunteers kept strengthening the embankments of the vilages Deewana and Shakkarpura situated on the bank of Rangoi Nala the whole night thereby saving these villages from the flood. Not only this, many destitute animals trapped in the flood were also taken out and transported to safer places. Jakhal’s contact with district Fatehabad remained cut off even after about 15 days of the situation arising out of flood. Only the railway route was left for transportation. In such a situation, the warriors of Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Wing, with the help of the volunteers of Tohana block, delivered relief materials to several villages and dhanis of Jakhal block with the support of many kilometers of railway tracks.

Block Premi Sevak of Jakhal Rajendra Baru, 85 members Simarjeet Insan, Sher Singh Chanded Kalan, Sanjay Kumar Tohana etc. told that Revered Guru Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan has always inspired them to work for the welfare of humanity.
