Shah Satnam Ji Cricket Academy Player Kanishk Chauhan Shines with Outstanding Performance in the Indian Under-19 Team
Thanks to his hard work on the field, long hours of practice, and the guidance of his Guru Papa, Kanishk Chauhan has emerged as a true all-rounder. This gem, trained at Shah Satnam Ji Cricket Academy, also shone on foreign soil when his all-round performance helped India defeat the hosts 3–0 in the three-match Under-19 Youth ODI series played in Brisbane, Australia.
Kanishk took six crucial wickets in the series, playing a decisive role in the victory. It is worth noting that Kanishk Chauhan had earlier contributed 193 runs and taken eight wickets during the five-match ODI series on the England tour.
Jaskaran Singh Sidhu, coach at Shah Satnam Ji Cricket Academy, Sirsa, said that due to the strong bowling and batting performances of the academy’s all-rounder, Kanishk Chauhan, the Indian Under-19 Youth team defeated the hosts 3–0 in the Youth ODI series held at Ian Healy Oval, Brisbane.
Sidhu explained that the Indian team won the toss and elected to bat in the final match. Batting first, middle-order batsmen Vedant Trivedi (86 off 92 balls) and Rahul Kumar (62 off 84 balls) added 99 runs for the fourth wicket, helping India post a mammoth total of 280 for 9. Australia A did not get off to a good start, losing three wickets for just 39 runs.
Under constant pressure from left-arm fast bowler Uddhav Mohan (3 for 26), spinner Khilan Patel (4 for 26), and Kanishk Chauhan (2 for 18), the home team collapsed for just 113 runs in 28.3 overs. India had defeated the hosts by seven wickets and 51 runs in the previous two matches. He added that Kanishk had also performed brilliantly during the tour of England prior to Australia.
Kanishk Chauhan was congratulated on his remarkable achievement by the Haryana Cricket Association, Dr Ved Beniwal (Secretary, Sirsa District Cricket Association), Charanjit Singh (Sports President, Shah Satnam Ji Educational Institutions), and the Principal and staff of Shah Satnam Ji Boys College. – Sunil Bajaj, Sports Editor, Sach Kahoon
