Introduction: While working for women has become a common thing in today’s era, due to the increasing stress of job and family, many types of ill-effects are visible on women’s health. Generally working women fall prey to new ailments like stress, depression, back pain, headache, leg cramps, cervical spondylitis and constipation and they are unable to strike a balance between home and work.

Sending children to school in the morning, packing her and husband’s tiffin, arranging food for the children for the day, then getting ready and reaching office on time is a very tiring routine in itself. With so much work to be done in the limited hours of the morning, it creates a lot of stress.

Reaching the office to complete the office work, again getting hit by the buses to reach home, getting involved in family chores, taking care of children’s education, all this is very stressful for working women. Sometimes women reach such a state of depression they are neither able to run the house properly, nor can they complete the office tasks properly.

Working Women & Their Common Diseases:

After working in the kitchen for so many hours in the morning, reach the office & work in the office while dangling their legs for hours lead to the working women become victims of diseases like swelling of feet, pain in ankles and knees, stretching of legs etc. Sitting for a long time by keeping the leg on the leg puts more pressure on the knees.

Tips to Get Rid of Common Diseases of Working Women:

Pain & Swelling in Legs:

Try to put equal weight on both legs. Give rest to the feet by taking off the shoes in between, do not work continuously sitting in one place and keep getting up and sitting after a while. Such women should come home and soak their feet with salt water at night.

Back Pain:

There is a complaint of back pain due to not sitting in the right position and getting up again and again with jerks. If you are working on the chair & table, sit in the right position and get up comfortably while getting up so that back pain can be avoided.

Headache & Poor Eye Vision:

Working with excessive bending affects the eyes due to which the complaint of headache increases. While doing the work of writing and reading, keep in mind that there is proper arrangement of light. Get your eyes checked from time to time.

Strain in the Neck & Shoulders:

Continuous work of reading and writing causes strain on the bones of the neck and shoulders. While doing the work of reading and writing, close your eyes and rest for some time in between, exercise by rotating the neck slowly in three directions. Take care not to lean your neck forward. After eating, if possible, keep your feet on a chair and close your eyes and take a little rest, which will give rest to the neck and shoulders.

Constipation:

Working women should take some things lightly, so that mental stress does not increase further. Laughter should be kept on, since it reduces tension automatically. Working women should pay special attention to nutritious food for themselves and their families. Try to get enough sleep at night. There is a complaint of constipation due to lack of sleep. Many diseases of the stomach take birth due to constipation. It can be avoided by eating right and taking complete rest.

Light-hearted Family Atmosphere:

The stress can also be reduced if you move in a well-planned manner. All the members of the family should cooperate with the working woman and efforts should be made to keep the atmosphere of the house light-hearted.

Do not make them a victim of inferiority complex for not completing household chores. Don’t put any kind of stress on them. If the Lakshmi of the house remains stress-free, the house will become heaven. And she will be able to devote some of her time to taking care of her health. When her health is good, she can do justice to her family and office.
