Naturopathic Treatment: The Human Body`s Ability to Fight Diseases Naturally

The human body is itself capable of fighting diseases, but for this, closeness to natural resources is essential. Naturopathy is a system of treatment that uses natural methods to enhance the body’s own healing processes. On behalf of Sachi Shiksha, an extensive discussion was held with Naturopathy specialist  Dr Jitendra Singh Insan (B.A.M.S. [A.M.]) on the subject of Naturopathy.

At Shah Satnam Ji Multi-Speciality Hospital, Dera Sacha Sauda, the MSG Naturopathy Centre is a natural medicine hospital. This hospital specializes in natural treatments such as mud packs and hydrotherapy. It is equipped with modern indoor facilities and has 108 beds. It is the region’s first private natural medicine hospital, offering the services of specialist doctors and expert therapists.

During the conversation, Dr. Jitendra Insan told that for Naturopathy treatment, the treatment is completed by considering the five elements sky, water, fire, air and earth as the basis. Here, change in diet and lifestyle of human beings is a very important subject. He further told that according to Naturopathy and Indian ancient philosophy, the human body is created by nature. Nature has used five great elements earth, water, fire, air and sky (sky element) to create this universe and body. These five elements are not just symbolic, but play an active role in the functioning of the body. Three things such as phlegm, wind and bile are of utmost importance. Let us understand them in detail:-

Kapha Gives Strength and Stability to the Body

Dr. Insan said that Kapha represents the visible and physical parts of the body. It is made up of earth and water elements, which strengthens the skin, muscles, bones, tissues etc. Kapha provides strength, stability and smoothness to the body.

Vata Iimproves Blood Circulation

‘Vata’, made up of air and sky elements, controls the activities and movement of our body. Breathing, blood circulation, physical activities, nerve messages, emotions and thoughts are all controlled by Vata. It brings flexibility and movement to the body.

Bile Controls Digestion

It is made up of the fire element, which represents the process of transformation and stability of the body. Digestion, control of metabolism and energy of cells in the body are all under the control of bile. Let us tell you that there are about 120 trillion atoms in the body and it also has the power to stabilize. It is helpful  in maintaining intelligence, clarity & chemical balance.

Nature Itself Balances the ‘Doshas’ in the Body

Dr. Jitendra Insan explains that Naturopathy is a wonderful and automatic system of nature. Nature produces Vata, Pitta and energy in the human body. Necessary medicines are given according to the season to keep the Kapha doshas in balance.

Pitta Dosha Increases in Summer

In summer, the effect of fire element increases in the body, which causes problems like burning sensation, heat, irritability. But nature has found a solution for this on its own. Fruits like watermelon, muskmelon, cucumber, coconut water, wood apple etc. provide coolness to the body. Pitta dosha can be balanced by using them.

Danger of Kapha Dosha in Cold Weather

In winter season, the complaint of phlegm in the body increases, due to which problems like heaviness, cold, laziness, congestion start to appear. But nature has provided many such things to humans for protection in this season, like sesame, peanuts, dry fruits, ginger, turmeric, gourd etc. These things give warmth to the body and prove effective in reducing phlegm.

Nature: The Greatest Medicine

The heat of the Sun increases the energy, digestive power and the fire element in the body. Whereas the coolness of the moon brings peace to the mind, thoughts and sleep of a person. This is the reason why lunar eclipse and full moon have an effect on the mentality of a person. Thus, the basic principle of Naturopathy is that whatever nature provides is the best medicine.
