Glow Through the Heat

Glow Through the Heat

With the arrival of summer, many skin-related problems arise. We are troubled by hot winds, dust, and sweat. All of these have a significant impact on our health, but their greatest effect is on our facial skin.

Due to excessive heat, our skin becomes dark, dull, and lifeless. If we want to keep our skin radiant this summer, we should pay attention to a few things.Skin Care Beauty

  • If you have dry skin, be sure to apply a moisturiser in summer, as it acts as a shield to protect your skin.
  • Also, use honey and glycerine to maintain moisture.
  • Cleanse your face with cleansing milk at least twice a day.
  • Make sure to use foundation during the summer season, as it helps reduce blemishes and brings uniformity to the skin.
  • Oily skin should be cleansed with an antiseptic lotion at least twice a day.
  • Apply a non-greasy moisturiser to the face.
  • Bathing twice a day is essential. It refreshes you, removes impurities, and keeps you feeling fresh.
  • In addition to the face, special care should be given to other parts of the body, such as the hands, feet, and back.
  • Wax your hands and feet, and get manicures and pedicures from time to time.
  • Be sure to drink 10–12 glasses of water a day.
  • Use sunscreen whenever you go out in the sun, as it helps prevent freckles.
  • Always use tissue paper and a cotton handkerchief.
  • Taking a bath with lemon juice or rose petals added to the water gives a feeling of freshness throughout the day.
  • Always keep your hair tied.
  • Get a facial every 15–20 days to help tighten your skin.
  • When going out in the sun, carry an umbrella and wear sunglasses. Also, wear a scarf or hat.
  • During the day, apply light-coloured lipstick. To ensure it lasts longer, apply powder to your lips before lipstick.
  • In summer, wear light colours like pink, blue, and white, and choose cotton clothing. Cotton absorbs sweat and prevents body odour.
  • Avoid fried foods in summer. Consume cold and liquid foods instead.
  • A face pack made with Multani Mitti (Fuller’s Earth) provides relief from heat and sunburn.
  • You can also use cucumber juice and yoghurt to reduce heat effects.
  • Before going out, drink lemon water or plain water.
  • Wear sandals or slippers instead of shoes in summer. If you must wear closed shoes, sprinkle talcum powder inside them first.
