French Fries
Table of Contents
Ingredients:
- Potatoes – 4–5
- Refined or mustard oil – 4–5 tbsp (for frying)
- Black pepper powder – ½ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Cornflour – 1 tsp
- Turmeric – 1 tsp
Method of Preparation:
Wash the potatoes thoroughly and cut them into long sticks. Soak the cut potatoes in water for 15–20 minutes. This helps to remove excess starch and makes the fries crispier.
Drain the water and pat the potatoes dry. Sprinkle red chilli powder, black pepper powder, turmeric, and cornflour over them. Mix well. Add salt to taste. Heat oil in a pan.
Add the potatoes and fry them until they turn golden brown and crisp. Remove from the pan
Delicious French fries are ready. Serve hot with tomato sauce.
