Ingredients

  • 14 papdis (chaat puris)
  • â…” cup boiled chickpeas
  • â…” cup boiled and chopped potatoes (about 1 large potato)
  • ½ cup boiled green gram (mung beans)
  • ½ cup chopped onion (about 1 medium onion)
  • ½ cup beaten yogurt
  • 5 tbsp tamarind chutney
  • 5 tbsp coriander (green) chutney
  • ½ cup sev

Papdi Chaat Method

Prepare the chutneys in advance.

Take two serving plates and arrange 7 papdis on each plate. You may keep them whole or break them into bite-sized pieces.

In a bowl, combine the boiled chickpeas with 2 tbsp of green chutney and mix well.

Divide the potatoes and onions evenly between the two plates, placing them over the papdis. Spoon the chickpea mixture evenly over the top, followed by the boiled mung beans.

Drizzle ¼ cup of beaten yogurt over each plate, followed by 2½ tbsp of tamarind chutney. Sprinkle ¼ cup of sev over each serving.

Finally, drizzle about 1 tbsp of green chutney over each plate.

Your delicious Papdi Chaat is ready to serve. Serve immediately while the papdis remain crisp and enjoy this spicy, tangy, and refreshing chaat.
